Jalapeno Rocoto Pepper: The Ultimate Mexican Dining Experience in Sherwood

My partner and I really enjoy coming here on date nights. It's our go-to for authentic food. Compliments to the chef. It's family owned with a great atmosphere. The food is excellent, and it hits home. They also have patio seating available with lights. Too adorable! They serve chips and 3 different kinds of salsa while you wait for your food. Our meal choice was the taco plates, with chorizo and fish. We've also tried other menu items, and I will say they never disappoint. Alcohol beverages are available as well.

Great find! Quaint, vibrantly decorated little Mexican restaurant with very friendly staff and complimentary chips & salsa. By the way, muy tasty salsa! Some of the best chili verde I’ve ever had. If you find yourself in Sherwood and have a hankering for quality Mexican comfort food, this is your spot! Cheers!

I was reluctant given some reviews but this was a pleasant surprise! I LOVED the recommended stuffed poblano pepper with added shrimp. I wouldn't normally order something like this and I'm so grateful I did. This was probably one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. The crema salsa was perfect with the delicate pepper, cheese, shrimp, and bacon. You gotta try it!! Partner ordered the asada and it was tender and light. No it's not heavily seasoned but it is seasoned enough and is lovely. Rice and beans are good. Corn tortillas were fluffy. We loved the fresh salsa which was unique and seemed to have some chipotle or some other smokiness I can't pinpoint. The chips were okay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing people work here! The Owners are so nice and caring. The food is carefully made unlike most places that care about quantity vs quality. The prices are a bit high, but you get amazing quality and is definitely worth it. The Perfect Margaritas are our favorite! Try the arroz con pollo or the California burrito! I wish they sold their verde salsa by the bottle!

Pretty good food. The place is a mix of Taqueria, Cantina, and sit down Mexican restaurant, with to go and pickup options. A little of everything. I ordered a chicken burrito and It was good. Salsa was fine. Light green salsa was tasty, red was kind of a chipotle style. My burrito came with chips on the bag. Service was fast, the guy in the back was cranking out the orders.

Awesome place to have lunch or dinner! Very good food and when they bring the chips out, you get 3 different salsas which were all super delicious.

We decided to stop in on our way back from the coast. We enjoyed our meals, really enjoy the vibe of the place, and our server was so amazing and very attentive. Check them out if your ever passing through Sherwood.

We live in downtown Beaverton. We make the drive down here a couple times a week for their tacos and burritos. The service is great as well. They’re always friendly and accommodating. This will always be a favorite.
